Hip Hop Dance Camp

Dance camp will take place each day for 1 1/2 hours a day Tuesday -Friday. Friday students will have a chance to perform a small demonstration of what they have learned throughout the week. All family and friends are welcome

GOALS




  1. Learning basic musicality, stretching techniques and dance terminology


  2. How to present an introduce oneself to an audience


  3. To engage students in the collaborative process.


  4. To strengthen students creative skills in live performance through the study of craft and technique.


  5. To create an eclectic and unique performance to share with friends and family




Grades: 2-7th (Boys & Girls!)
Dates: February 18th-22nd
Locations:
Tues- Thurs: Bath Parks & Recreation Dept. Gymnasium
Friday Performance: Morse HS Auditorium
Times: 4:00pm-5:30pm
Cost:
$40 Residents
$45 Non-Residents
What are students expected to wear/bring? Water, sneakers and comfortable (flexible) clothing.



Meet the Instructor!

Kate Andreu; Dance Director- Studio 48PAC
Kate has been in the performance industry for over 17 years. She has trained with numerous professionals throughout New England in this time. Earning bachelors in social work and minoring in Dance and American Sign Language. Her skills go beyond the classroom. The experience of starting, owning and successfully running a dance studio allows her to bring an extended understanding of both the art of dance and the business aspect as well. The essence of her passion as a; dancer, choreographer, instructor, leader and businesswoman lies within her program philosophy. The goal of this dance program is to utilize multiple teaching styles to effectively access and impact each student, on a personal level. She is committed to providing students with opportunities that encourage and cultivate the development of responsibility, leadership and teamwork.
